We invite you to visit the exhibition “Historical Costume Improvisations”, featuring works by first-year students of the Fashion Design study programme at the Academy of Arts, Faculty of Arts and Education, Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution. The exhibition is displayed on the second floor of the library.
The exhibition presents creative works developed by students as part of a practical assignment in the course “History of Costume”. Inspired by clothing from different historical periods, the young designers offer their own interpretations of costume shapes, silhouettes, details, and decorative elements. The exhibited works reflect the students’ understanding of historical costume, their creative exploration, and their ability to reinterpret fashion elements from the past in a contemporary way. The exhibition invites visitors to explore costume history from a fresh perspective and discover the connections between historical heritage and contemporary creativity.
Exhibition curators: Lecturers Audronė Šakienė and Stella Justina Kasperavičienė.
