We invite you to the exhibition accompanying the international scientific student conference “Ideas Forum 2024,” showcased on the second floor of the library—a joint sustainable fashion collection, “We Were Children”.
The clothing collection was created by students of Group DM1 of the Fashion Design study programme at the Academy of Arts, Faculty of Arts and Education, Kauno Kolegija Higher Education Institution: Emilija Bertašiūtė, Dovilė Deveikytė, Rugilė Kaikarytė, Samanta Skromovaitė, Fausta Skudrytė, Monika Teišerskytė, and Gabija Žymančiūtė. The creative project was implemented during the second-year courses “Clothing Design 3” and “Construction and Sewing 3”.
This clothing collection transports us back to the days of childhood when spending time outside with friends, watching cartoons instead of doing homework, and being a child who looks at the world with big, curious eyes were the priorities. Each of us should remember and never forget our “younger selves,” as it is from that small child that a wonderful personality with big dreams grows. The clothing collection was created by repurposing old and unworn clothes.
The creative project was led by lecturers Stella Justina Kasperavičienė and Indrė Spitrytė from the Fashion Design study programme at the Academy of Arts, Faculty of Arts and Education, Kauno Kolegija Higher Education Institution.
