Access to half a million e-sources in subscribed databases

In 2026, Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution subscribed to about 0.5 million e-sources in various databases: O’Reilly for Higher Education, EBSCO eBook Academic Collection, EBSCO Publishing, Springer Journals, Taylor & Francis, Emerald Management, Passport, KTU and VGTU eBooks, LST standards. In these databases, you can open and use about 24 thousand scientific journals, 324 thousand e-books and over 104 thousand other sources (standards, statistical and analytical information, audiobooks, videos, interactive courses, etc.). The scientific journals subscribed to by the institution are of good quality, as many of them are referenced in the databases CA Web of Science (9515 journals) and Scopus (12044 journals), which are important for researchers.

Subscribed sources can be easily used by every student or employee who logs in Virtual Library or on the db.kaunokolegija.lt website with their Kauno kolegija e-mail address to @ and password.

Sources from subscribed databases can be found by searching in one place (in the  Virtual Library) or by opening each database separately (on the website db.kaunokolegija.lt). In some cases, it is necessary or worthwhile to open separate databases, because certain information will not be available in the virtual library. For example, only the Passport database can be used to open statistical and analytical information, only O’Reilly can be used to find videos, audio books, interactive courses and expert playlists, EBSCO and O’Reilly platforms have AI assistants for search.

The search is facilitated by the AI assistants of the databases or the Virtual Library. If you have any questions about how to find suitable sources and cite them in your work, we invite you to visit the library or write to biblioteka@go.kauko.lt

Detailed information about each database can be found in the list and on the Electronic Resources website.
