Discover the New 2026 Issue of the Journal Applied Research

Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution invites you to explore the new 2026 issue of the scientific journal Applied Research. This edition features 15 peer-reviewed articles from a variety of scientific disciplines. More than half of the publications focus on the social sciences, addressing important topics such as student safety and bullying, the professional challenges faced by social workers and strategies for overcoming them, and the impact of communication on public engagement in blood donation.

Sustainability is another key theme of this issue. The journal includes research on EU countries based on CO₂ emission indicators, the changing nature of professions in response to automation, and opportunities to improve the quality of logistics services in organizations. Artificial intelligence (AI) receives particular attention in this edition. The published studies examine how AI influences students’ information behaviour, its impact on creativity and academic integrity, whether AI can replace professional language editors in editing Lithuanian texts, and the use of natural language processing methods for analysing student feedback on study courses. Other research topics include the integration of Industry 4.0 principles into engineering education through short-cycle studies, as well as the growth, productivity, and fruit quality of the Orlovskoye Polosatoye apple cultivar grafted onto different vegetative rootstocks. In the field of medical and health sciences, the journal presents research on the relationship between medication use and the success of cardiac surgery, possible complications following surgical interventions, and the risks associated with mechanical ventilation and infectious complications.

These studies address significant and timely issues, and we warmly invite you to read the latest issue.
